Kitchen Counter ~ Before
Small counter area in kitchen that became a catch all place. Mostly filled with items that needed to be recycled but we did find some bills that had been lost in the pile.
Kitchen Counter ~ After
75% of the items on the counter were papers and magazines that we recycled. Other items were relocated into cabinets and drawers where they belonged. Client now has a nice clean area to work.
Kitchen ~ Before
Client had started pulling items from cabinets to sort and toss and became overwhelmed and stopped. We worked together to sort through for items that could be donated, tossed what couldn't and restocked usable items back in the cabinets.

Everything in its place! Client now has a clean worksurface to enjoy cooking and can easily find what she needs in the reorganized cabinets. By removing items she had for years and no longer used, she gained cabinet space and can easily access what she's looking for.
Guest Bedroom ~ Before
Another catch all area. Since the room wasn't used often it became a place where things gathered. We sorted through all the items, donating a few, tossing a few and found proper storage areas for the keep items.

The porch had become the place where unwanted items went. We sorted out the trash and donated and recycled the rest. Even found a few tools that had been missing for months!

I'd never worked with a professional organizer before so I didn't know what to expect. I had been trying to get things sorted and organized on my own but it was too much work. Monica really helped me sort through the clutter and make decisions on things I'd been keeping for years. She did a lot of running up and down stairs putting things where they belonged and even took away the donation piles for me. I couldn't have done this with out all her help. Now that the extra stuff is gone and things have a place to go it's much easier for me to keep up with everything. I highly recommend working with a professional organizer, it sure made life easier for me.

Home Office ~ Before
Beautiful, sunny enclosed porch area is currently used as a home office, exercise room, library, craftroom and catch all area! No one knows really where anything is! If something doesn't have a home it ends up here. Client has designated a spare bedroom upstairs that will become the craftroom. We are in the process of first sorting out all craft items. We have big plans for this room! Watch for future pictures!

We begin by pulling all "craft" items from the office and start the sorting process. Craft items were also found in many other areas of the house. Soon they will have one home in the upstairs "craftroom".
Future Craft Room
Client is looking forward to having one special room dedicated to all her craft projects. She's very talented and artistic and has "in progress" projects throughtout the house. Having a dedicated craft room will enable her to focus and get more projects complete.
Guest Bedroom ~ Before
All the homeless furniture and boxes seemed to gather here. Happens easily when adult children come back home! But when they leave, they seem to leave behind what they don't want or can't fit in their new place. Donate, Donate, Donate! We also packed up some boxes for the kids to take to their new homes and filled a few bags with trash.
Guest Bedroom ~ During
Now that the room is empty - it's time to paint! Once the room is painted we'll be setting up the furniture, installing curtains and hanging some artwork. And I think someone has her eye on that "extra" closet now that's its empty!

Having fun and looking forward to completion day! Hiring an organizer was definately the answer for me. I just don't have the motivation and time to conquer these projects alone. I'd rather spend my free time working on my crafts. With kids moving in and out the clutter just multiplied and my crafts really took over my office (and other areas in the house). Monica has been an incredible help and she has such great ideas. She can sort through the mess so quickly. She actually makes the job fun. My husband even got motivated to start cleaning out the garage! And he said he's going to paint the guest bedroom before Monica and I set it back up. I don't think that room has been painted in 20 years!
